When you work out, your heart rate is the best indicator of how strong and healthy your heart is and your customized heart rate zones are the most important metric to use when you work out with your MYX. Your zones are created the first time you complete your MYX Zone Calibration Ride and your heart rate zones are likely to change when you retake it. These changes happen because your heart is a muscle and just like every other muscle in your body, when you challenge it, it will adapt and get stronger. Your customized heart rate zones will drop as a result, meaning that your heart does not have to pump as hard to maintain the same level of effort and intensity. You may also notice that you are able to reach and sustain a higher heart rate than when you started. This is also an indicator that your heart is getting stronger and healthier. Now, that’s hard work paying off!
