How does it work?

To activate SmartMYX for the first time, tap “SmartMYX” on your touchscreen homescreen (located in the top right corner). Then you’ll be guided to answer some questions to customize your weekly workout plan.

From there, each week our AI engine will intelligently select personalized workout recommendations to help you achieve your unique fitness goals. Follow your next recommended workout in the weekly sequence, or choose other options that keep you on track for each category under “Additional Recommendations”. You don’t need to reset your goal each week.

To access other workouts or MYX Media content, exit SmartMYX by tapping on the arrow on the top left of your SmartMYX homescreen to return to your touchscreen’s main menu.

What goals can I choose with SmartMYX?

There are four main goals: lose weight, improve cardio fitness, increase flexibility, and/or gain strength.

Can I change my SmartMYX goal?

Of course! You can change it at any time, but you don’t need to change it weekly. SmartMYX will refresh for you at the start of each new week (Monday).

To change your goal, tap on the pencil icon next to the goal on your dashboard. Note that changing it will reset your progress that week.

What workouts count for my SmartMYX goal?

Only workouts completed in SmartMYX mode count toward your SmartMYX goal. So for example, a 30 minute ride done outside of SmartMYX would show in your history, but not in your SmartMYX progress.

Regardless, all workouts done in SmartMYX show in your history.

Why are some of the categories disabled on my SmartMYX?

To help you stay on track, SmartMYX will guide you toward the categories that are in your weekly plan.

If the category is disabled, that means you either already achieved that in your sequence, or that it is not part of your current SmartMYX fitness plan.

Why do I have to wear my heart rate monitor during SmartMYX workouts?

SmartMYX is designed to help you achieve your goals effectively and efficiently through heart rate based training. That’s what MYX is all about!

Why is it important to cross train?

Cross training is all about moving your body in a variety of ways, which is a super effective system for achieving results.

Can I participate in SmartMYX if I only have 10-15 minutes to work out at a time?

The American Heart Association claims that optimum cardiovascular fitness is maintained by exercising at a moderate intensity for at least 150 minutes per week. So, to be successful in your goals, we recommend at least 20 minutes of exercise, at least 3 times a week.

Can I use SmartMYX on my mobile app?

SmartMYX is a touchscreen-only feature.

What accessories do I need to participate in SmartMYX?

Since SmartMYX is a cross training program, you will need: dumbbells, a kettlebell, a resistance band, and a foam roller.
